To Abide

To abide in Christ you must cultivate a sense of His presence--a sense of His unwavering love for you in all that He does and allows. To abide in Christ you must have a unquenchable desire to do His will each and every day. To abide in Christ you must have an immeasurable trust and confidence in His daily goodness being lavished on your life--the greatest goodness being the Spirit's continual cleansing of your life through the power of the Word. To abide in Christ is to be empowered to love all others steadfastly, to be enriched by His joy in every situation, to be encouraged by the answers to your prayers, to be drawn into a deeper, more dependent, humble thankfulness for His intimate transforming work in your life. "He who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit."
