Giving
is an essential aspect of worship. Not giving is an undeniable proof
of a shameful display of self-interest and self-serving.greediness. And
the biggest smoke screen of all may be "If I had more resources, I would
joyfully give. What can God do with the little I have?" Do you really
think it's your money He wants?

When I feel overloaded, I know who's trying to carry the load. Wood, hay, and straw can get very heavy
----------
Carnality: Self-centered involvement in the things of God.

Is
there anything more disheartening than when believers--who are supposed
to be in harmony with each other--sound like a strident cacophony of
dissonance? We are called to be instruments in the Master Musician's
symphony, not the conductor. Not even first chair.
----------
"Christ
in you, the hope of glory." Christ. In. You. What is it that He's
asking you to do that you think is impossible? "And for this purpose
also I labor, striving (agonizing), according to His working, which in
power works within me."
