Every
day in my life and in the world around me there is a battle taking
place between grace and sin. No matter what anyone may claim, if he or
she does not believe in sin, they do not believe in grace. The stronger
of the two "combatants" is grace. The impact of sin is always
negative, destructive, deceitful, temporary pleasure. The impact of
grace is a recognition of, and an immersion in, God's
eternal love, daily edification, strengthening growth, and a freedom
that only truth can impart. Grace's "weapon"? Forgiveness. Forgiving
all those who have sinned against me in any way--whether they've asked
for it or not. Seeking forgiveness from all those I have sinned against
in any way, deliberately or ignorantly. And perhaps the most difficult
one--because of the magnificence of His grace, forgiving myself.
"Thanks be to God who has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!"
"Grace, grace, God's grace; grace that is greater than all my sin."
"Though sin is shown to be wide and deep, thank God His grace is wider and deeper still!"
