Truth 9

 Truth Number 9

Someone has said, "There is no substitute for excellence, not even success." God's Word puts it this way, "Whatever you do, do it with all your might." "Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." Whatever we are called to do, we should do to the best of our ability. And the "measuring stick" in God's eyes is not ability but diligence. We are not just doing an "assignment," or meeting the requirements of men. We are striving to please God, not men. He is the one for whom we do all things; thus, nothing we do--even eating and drinking, are mundane and unworthy of our use of all the time and resources He has given us. Don't ever settle for "that's enough to get by," or that's enough for "the A." Would Jesus say, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
