We do not live in a world of chance. How many different ways has God made that plain to us in His Word?
"Choose you this day whom you will serve."
"If any man will be my disciple, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me."
"If you love me, keep my commandments."
"Seek first the kingdom of God"
"Walk in the light as He is in the light."
"Forsake not the assembling of yourself together."
As someone has said, "When I have to make a choice and don't make a choice, I have made a choice." How often are we told to be sober minded--level headed--as we go through life? Each day is a series of choices, each with its own consequence. And the consequences affect not only us but all those around us--and even the generations to come. I exist today where I am because of choices others made centuries ago. We need to fully grasp the significance of each day, each option, each choice. We must in reverence for God--the fear of the Lord--make choices that please Him. Each choice, like the ripple from a pebble tossed into a pond, goes on and on and on. Choose wisely. Rely fully on the Spirit who indwells you. You can never underestimate the significance of your choices.
