Discipleship: the process by which one becomes more and more like Jesus, one day at a time.
"The Son of Man came not to be ministered to but to minister to others."
"Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. . . Let each esteem
others better than themselves." He poured Himself out for others. He
became a servant. He was obedient to the death.
Discipleship begins when in every situation
I spontaneously put the other person and their needs above my own. The
importance of such a life is that it radiates His sacrificial love and
it radiates my confidence that He will meet my needs out of the riches
of His glory.
The important thing for me to remember is that it is a
process. I have a long way to go, but it is the attitude of my heart
that matters. God doesn't look at the outside but at the intents of my
heart. The disciple's theme song: "I would be like Jesus."
