Independent Christians

Independent Christians--those who think they can maintain their Christian walk all on their own--often become impatient, disillusioned Christians. When we become impatient and disillusioned we make a golden calf, a god, of whatever it is we are too impatient to wait for. Always remember that God's delays are not denials. He's waiting for the right time to give you the direction and blessings that you need. So, if you're delighting in the Lord and waiting for Him to give you the desires of your heart--to make your paths straight--be patient. Lean on Him. Keep your hands off those "golden earrings."
