One's
man opinion: I think it is the height of human arrogance for a man to
believe that he doesn't need a Savior--that he is somehow good enough to
stand before an infinitely holy, righteous, just, God and that God will
have to accept Him. And the problem is with God if He doesn't. I
think such an attitude mocks the very character of God and trivializes
the willing, loving, sacrifice made by His
Son. Does anyone dare to believe that they can stand before the Father
and that He will agree with them that what Jesus did is no big deal,
insignificant, a waste of time? I think it was C.S. Lewis who said that
"there are two kinds of people in the world--those who say to God, 'Thy
will be done' and those to whom God will say, 'Your will be done.'"
"This is the work of God, to believe on Him who He has sent."
"I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins."
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but through me."
