Faith, Hope, Love

"And now abides faith, hope, love"
Why are all three of these so essential to a Christian's daily walk? First, God is unfettered by the restraints of time. He cannot be rushed into doing the "good" or the "better"; He always waits to do the "best." He alone knows when "now" is the right time. And no power can stop Him from acting when "now is the time." Secondly, we must live within the boundaries of time, and there is always time that passes between the sowing of the seed and the reaping of the harvest. We must labor sustained by our faith in Him, our hope in Him, and our love for Him knowing that though we see no evidence of it, He is at work--the Lord of the Harvest. His promise: "You will reap what you sow if you persevere and don't faint or grow weary in our daily walk together. Lean on Me, child. Cast your care on Me, child." Faith says, "I will rest in His unchanging--immutable--character as the guarantee of His promises." Hope says, "I will rest in the goodness of His answer and His timing. His goodness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. No good thing will He withhold." Love says, "Sensing your great love for me, I will follow you in loving obedience in all things."

Faith, hope, love. Abide in Me and I in you. Without Me, you can do nothing.
