Learned

"I have learned in whatever condition I find myself to be content." My favorite word in that declaration is "learned." It took Paul some time to reach that level of spiritual maturity. So, thankfully, there's still hope for me. I, also, find it interesting that Paul tells us about finally learning to be content when he's a prisoner in Rome. The greatest missionary/evangelist/church planter is locked up. Still witnessing, of course, but unable to go to the places he feels drawn to--those places that have never heard, and unable to plant any churches. And he says, "I'm content. Learned it. God was my teacher. Being a prisoner is fine with me because that's where He wants me. And it didn't hinder His plans at all to do all the missionary/evangelizing/church planting work without me." (Read Philippians 1 if you want more explanation.) Keep teaching me Lord.
