Susceptiblity

Our areas of giftedness are the places we are most susceptible to the temptation of pride--the greatest lust. We are in deep spiritual trouble when we begin to imagine that any talent we have is of our own doing and not a gracious gift from God to be used for His glory, not our own. Yes, with diligence we can develop the excellence of our giftedness, but even the strength to do that is a gift from Him.
