Goodness

"The fruit of the Spirit is . . . goodness . . ."

Goodness is not afraid of doing the right thing.
Goodness obeys the commandments out of love.
Goodness finds obedience a source of joy.
Goodness is at peace with the reaction to his obedience.
Goodness lets his life defend him.
Goodness works from the inside out.
Goodness is patient, praying for those who have not yet embraced God's commandments.
Goodness is into self-examination.
Goodness is kind, tender-hearted, forgiving.
Goodness knows that it is the Spirit who enables him.  He has no goodness of his own.
Goodness focuses on the Savior, reflecting His image, His goodness.  He does not wear a veil.
Goodness desires to be spotless, without a stain.
Goodness is not afraid of being conspicuous, being different from the people in the world in which he lives.  He becomes afraid when there is no difference.
Goodness hates evil and does not rely on the advice of the counsel of the ungodly.
Goodness knows that wickedness often comes dressed up in white robes.
Goodness attracts seekers and is not intimidated by those dressed in white who tell him he'll find no seekers by the well in Samaria, in the homes of the tax gatherers, among the prostitutes, the poor and the needy.
Goodness spends each day narrowing the gap between what he is--a child of God--and what he is destined to become--like Him in holiness.  Goodness purifies himself.
