What are the blessings God gives us through the Holy Spirit as we deepen in our walk with Him?
A deeper awareness of His great love for us that we might readily, joyfully, obey and love others as He loves us.
A joyful heart as each day I take up my cross and follow Him, humbled by the privilege of participating in His suffering, at peace, earthquake proof in all things.
The peace of a patient, untroubled heart in the midst of a troubled world knowing that the victory has been won and is being won through grace.
The patience that builds endurance, an endurance that enables me to be slow to anger, full of compassion, kindly forgiving, and an endurance that rests in all situations in the eager expectation of His return when He will make all things right.
The kindness that is immune from jealousy, that never asks "what's in it for me," but is always eager for an opportunity to do good to all men--from the least to the greatest.
The goodness of the Samaritan that makes it impossible for me to walk by someone in need and makes me unconcerned about getting applause for being faithful to the high calling that is in Christ Jesus.
The faithfulness that never wavers in any circumstance, that never rebels against any outcome, that never exchanges bitterness for a gentle spirit.
The gentleness that never hesitates to stoop down to lift up others no matter why they have fallen; that is always in pursuit of the one gone astray, always with the arrogance of self-righteousness under control realizing that it is only God's grace that has allowed me to be the pursuer not the pursued.
The self-control that is content in all circumstances knowing that today He will give me all the strength needed to do what He has called me to do and knowing that today He will meet all my needs from the inexhaustible storehouse of His riches, and that today He will make known to me His loving presence in my life.
"The fruit of the Spirit IS love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." "Thanks be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus."
"Oh to be like Thee! O to be like Thee, blessed Redeemer, pure as Thou art! Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness, stamp Thine own image deep in my heart."
