Lunacy

Jesus was totally dedicated to His calling. He did everything He could possibly do to reach those who had needs that He could meet. And there was not a need He could not meet if one was willing to recognize and admit that he had a need.
Christ was so involved with helping others that, at times, He didn't even take time to eat. But it was love not lunacy that motivated Him. Though His own family thought Him insane, He was actually just totally involved in serving others. When told that His mother and brothers sought Him, He stated that He was related spiritually to all those who would do the will of God. He would not stop teaching God's truth to please anyone.
It's amazing, isn't it, that the world will praise a foolish feat that is of no earthly value whatsoever; yet, call the one who dedicates his or her life to serving God a fool. A Wallenda who gives his life trying to walk a tightrope between two buildings is a brave and noble man, but a young man or woman who dies on the mission field is said by the world "to have wasted his life and his talents, and for what?"
The world should think us mad. We should strive always to do all things heartily as unto the Lord with all our mind, heart, soul, and strength. The spiritual--and physical--needs of others should be the priority of our lives. For sure there is a time to slip away and rest as our Savior often did--to talk to His Father and be rejuvenated. When an opportunity for service comes, however, let us with all diligence give of ourselves to the furtherance of the kingdom.
Does the world think you are crazy because you have chosen to serve Him for less money, no prestige, and a full schedule--when you have the credentials to do so much better for yourself in the world's arena? Praise the Lord! You are reflecting the dedication of your Savior. You have a heart like His heart.
