If I Choose

If I choose to resist God's leading, if I would rather have the leeks and onions of Egypt than the milk and honey of the promise, if I refuse to fight the battle, He will still graciously meet my needs as His child. But He will also let me wander in the wilderness, die short of His best, overcome with a complaining spirit of discontent, devoid of His rest that He gives only to those in the midst of the battle. I must learn to submit. "No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly." NO GOOD THING. Be faithful. Follow. If I don't have something, it's because it's not a good thing or it's not a good thing for me yet.

"Lord, I would clasp Thy hand in mine, nor ever murmur nor repine, content, whatever lot I see, since 'tis my God that leadeth me. He leadeth me, He leadeth me! By His own hand He leadeth me! His faithful follower I would be, for by His hand He leadeth me."
