Life Is Beautiful

     Life is beautiful.  Don't think so, eh?  Well, listen to the words of Solomon:  "God has made everything beautiful in His time."  And on top of that he adds:  "I know that whatever God does, it will be forever."  Do you get the picture?  What Solomon--the wisest man who ever lived--is saying is that God took care of all of your tomorrows, yesterday.  You see, it's not that God might make all things beautiful, nor even that He will, but rather that He already has.  That's right.  From His vantage point--eternity--God sees the completed picture of your life, and His response is:  "Beautiful."
     Think about it.  Yesterday, with its mistakes, regrets, and heartaches is gone.  It was yours; now it's His.  His love will turn the tears to laughter and the ashes to beauty.
     Tomorrow with its fears and problems is God's day too.  Whatever it brings has already passed the test of His love.  It is part of a lovely masterpiece--dedicated to you--etched across the backdrop of eternity.
     But what about today, you ask?  Well, that's yours.  "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things!"  Today we need--through the power of the Holy Spirit--to radiate the beauty of our Savior's love and goodness and purity.  How does the chorus go?

"Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me,
All His wonderful passion and purity;
O Thou Spirit Divine,
All my nature refine,
Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me."

Do your friends--and enemies--think Jesus is beautiful?
