"The fool has said in his heart that there is no God."
"men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness because that which is known of God is evident within them. . .for since the Creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power, and His divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse."
"Always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth."
"But an unspiritual man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness to him and he is powerless to understand them because they are spiritually appraised."
"Professing to be wise, they became fools"
God says that the evidence for His existence and His character are undeniable--clearly seen. Men who suppress that truth that resides in their consciences and in the world all around them are fools--no matter their IQ, degrees behind their name, or the number of books they've written confirming their foolishness. And the more they try to suppress it and look for alternatives, the farther they get from understanding the truth and embracing it. It is a sad and dangerous path. When they stand before Him--and they will-- the lame excuse that "there just wasn't enough evidence for me to believe in You" will be revealed for what it is--willful blindness.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes."
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved."
"Unless you believe, you will all likewise perish; . . . you will die in your sins."
