Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Are recipients of His infinite grace. All the spiritual blessings of eternal life with God are lavished upon us even though we could never earn even one of them for one second.
Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Are recipients of His infinite mercy. Despite our evil natures, the evil that we do naturally--our iniquities, the evil that we do deliberately--our transgressions, and the evil that we do by acting as if our righteousness is enough to satisfy God--the sins of the pride of life, we have been forgiven and "there is now, no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Jesus has provided the propitiation--absorbed the wrath of God that we deserved. He has nailed our sin to His cross. He has paid it all for each of us.
Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Have been regenerated. We who were dead in trespasses and sin have been made alive in Him. Quickened. Death has become just a wasp without a stinger--incapable of doing us any harm. And when we "walk through the valley of the Shadow of Death," He will not just meet us on the other side. No, He walks with us through the shadow saying, "Fear not, I have destroyed death. It is just a powerless mirage."
Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Have been justified. He has taken from us our sin and clothed us with His righteousness. In fact, Jesus Christ, the Righteous, is our Advocate, our Defender, before the Father. When we sin, He stands to our defense: "Father, I paid for that sin." The verdict--"Forgiven." No power dare lay any charge at the feet of God's elect.
Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Have been reconciled. Though we were by nature at enmity with God, His avowed enemy, He has transferred us into the Kingdom of His Dear Son. We are now a friend of God.
Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Are redeemed. He has paid the price and bought us back from slavery to sin and set us free to serve Him and live lives of loving obedience to the Father through the empowering power of the Spirit.
Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Are being sanctified. Despite our natural tendency to sin and fail Him, His Spirit is daily making us more and more like Him--a genuine servant of God who naturally does the supernatural and acts spontaneously toward others and in every situation as He would act. "Thanks be to God who has given us the victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ."
Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Have been give free access to the throne of God to ask for grace and mercy in time of need knowing that our prayers are the pleasing aroma, the incense, that constantly surrounds the eternal throne of God our Father. He adores each time that we come. He treasures each request. He has ripped the veil in two. His love pleads with us to "Enter into the presence of Omnipotent Love."
Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Have been adopted into His family. He has deliberately chosen us to be His child and has compassionately promised to "meet all our need out of the riches of His glory." He daily whispers to us, "Call Me, Abba, My beloved child, call me, Daddy."
Because He lives, those that have put their trust in Him--
Will one day be glorified. Our wretched, mortal, corruptible bodies will be exchanged for a glorious, immortal, incorruptible body just like His. And it will be ours forever.
"Amazing love, how can it be, that Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?"
