There
are many today who believe that since "God is love," He can't send
anyone to the Lake of Fire. Others today believe that as long as
someone is sincerely seeking God in a way that they believe is good that
God must honor that. (See Cain.) Such a life, they claim, is good
enough. But God is not one dimensional. Yes, He is love, but He is
also infinitely righteous, infinitely good, infinitely
holy, and infinitely just. "All have sinned and come short of the
glory of God." "All of us, like sheep, have gone astray. Each one of
us has gone his own way." "All our righteous deeds (not just our wicked
ones) are like filthy rags." The Son of God suffering on the cross
destroys arguments. "Unless you repent, you will perish." The very
nature of God demands that He punish sin and those who reject His
gracious gift--forgiveness through faith in His Son. Yes, God is
glorified through His loving sacrifice and abundant grace available to
sinners. And God will be glorified through His judgment on sin. The
"source" of the truth that only through Christ can men find acceptance
into the Father's presence was Jesus Himself. "I am the way, the truth,
and the life, no one comes to the Father but through Me." Some say
that the exclusivity of Christianity is arrogance. Arrogance is calling
the Son of God who willingly died for you a liar.
