When? Why?

One of the questions on the heart of every steadfast believer is: When? It is the same question being asked by those around the throne of God at this very moment: When? When Lord are you going to return and set things right? Once for all. How long, Lord, until you return and righteousness reigns? It is a question that should be in all our prayers.
And yet, we must never forget why He has not returned. Love. He is waiting until one more member of His family comes to faith and eternal life. He is willing to wait as long as possible so that just one more person will come to Him and embrace His love. The first time He judged the world He waited until only one family was left--and then He waited another one-hundred-and twenty years, just in case. He is a patient God! Aren't you glad He's waited until after you were redeemed?
It was love that brought Him the first time to suffer and become our Savior. It is love that detains Him. Pray for His coming. Love His appearing by living an obedient life and by loving a dying world until He does. Have a heart like God's heart.
